What is G&Co | Independent Living Program (ILP)
The G&Co ILP provides transitional living assistance to qualified 18-20 year old young adults aging out of the U.S. Foster Care system in southern Georgia. Our program is designed to provide all expenses for apartment style housing complete with rent, utilities, groceries, furniture, access to extracurricular activities and much more. Our young adults participate in a 13+month program that guides them to achieve their optimum level of success and independence.

Our staff is well-trained to provide mentorship and assists young adults through daily challenges while forming solid independent living skills. Our staff assists each young adult in seeking higher education and connects them with employers in the community. The G&Co ILP provides measurable outcomes and achievements along the way.
How do I apply
Applicants seeking admission must complete and submit the following approved admission documents:
1. Scattered Site Placement Youth Readiness Assessment
2. G&Co ILP Application (sent via e-mail upon screening of SSPYRA)
3. RBWO Match Screening Summary Form (sent via e-mail upon screening of G&Co application)

Who is eligible?
The following criteria is used to determine eligibility (*Note these guidelines are assessed on a case-by-case basis; waivers may be submitted)
1. 18-20 year old young adults (Male or Female)
2. Free of felony criminal conviction and/or illegal substance abuse
3. Non-medicated (with some exceptions)
4. Demonstrates the ability to make reasonable decisions
5. Willingness to maintain employment at a minimum or part-time (30hrs/week); or
6. Attend school full-time (12 or more credit hour) and willing to work 20hrs/week
7. Demonstrates an understanding of the financial and emotional demands of living independently
8. Motivated
Where are the apartments located?
G&Co partners with Preserve at Godley Station in Pooler, GA.
What type of apartment do you provide and what do they come with?
G&Co offers 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 1100+sqft apartments which share a common area, kitchen and patio. Our apartments are furnished with bedroom set and dresser in each room, couch, living room table, dining table, kitchen appliances, washer and dryer.
Do you accept parenting young adults or young adults expecting?
At this time G&Co does not have the infrastructure and staffing to adequately provide for the needs of parenting young adults.
Are young adults provided financial assistance for their daily needs?
In addition to the requirement of a young adult maintaining employment and/or full time education, G&Co will provide a monthly allowance as well as transportation assistance.
How long may a young adult remain in the program?
Time in our program varies based on performance, needs, and maintaining program expectations. A young adult may remain within as long as the minimum criteria are met and progressiveness is demonstrated in accordance with our expected outcomes and performance measures. Each young adult is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
